SHS volleyballer makes trek for Omaha

Maggie Plank wanted to play collegiate volleyball, but she wasn’t sure she was good enough.

Head volleyball coach at Grace University Courtney Moore begged to differ.

“About three months ago I called her and said I was going to go to Lake Land,” recalled Plank. “She asked if they offered for me to play volleyball, and I told her I didn’t think I could play there. Then she said ‘Well, I’d like to see you play here.’ So she started to work around everything. Then she called me and said, “You can come here.’ Then it set in. I’m going to go play college volleyball. It’s crazy.”
