Goal now is to win conference outright

One Knights’ fan traveled 1200 miles to see the Little Okaw Valley Conference championship game against the Hutsonville-Palestine Tigers in Arcola Saturday night. Arthur/Lovington-Atwood/Hammond made sure that fan, Danny Powell, left with a smile, defeating the Tigers 69-51.
“It is special. We have been fortunate enough to win a few and be in a couple finals. But you gotta appreciate it, and you can’t take it for granted because it’s not easy to do,” said head coach Dale Schuring. “It takes a lot to get to these games and even more to win them. The kids have done a great job.”
With Jermey Plank and Tyler Schuring acting as sharpshooters, the Knights’ offense looked like a well-oiled machine throughout the tournament.
