Sullivan survived a scare from Windsor/Stew-Stras on the road Saturday. The Lady Redskins jumped out to an early 8-2 lead, but Windsor battled back to within one run at 8-7 in the sixth inning. Sullivan starter Heidi Clements had an all-conference kind of day going 3-for-5 from the plate knocking in two RBI and sealing the win from the mound. After the win, head coach Ben Richter complimented his starter’s all-around game.
“I can’t say enough good things about Heidi. She always does a great job throwing strikes and making them put the ball in play. As our number three hitter, that is what we expect out of her. She has been doing it all year and is one of the team leaders.”
