October was pink in Moultrie County with employees of the courthouse closing out a month of Cancer Awareness.

“The ladies who put the Cancer Awareness luncheon on at the courthouse last Friday are what this is all about,” Moultrie County Relay for Life co-chair Diane Waggoner began.

The Moultrie County courthouse has employees who have battled cancer so the hospitality and support from that group illustrates the support the pink ribbon effort hopes to achieve.

Waggoner has been involved with the American Cancer Society for more than a decade, first as a volunteer and now as co-chair, coordinating efforts for Relay for Life.     Login or Subscribe to read the rest of this story.
