Okaw Valley Takes Knights in Close Game

The Okaw Valley girls traveled to Arthur winning 55-52 over the Knights, January 28.
The Timberwolves were able to keep the Knights’ Hannah Wallen and Megan Fifer in check, which put Mycaela Miller in the lead scoring position for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond.
Paige Robinson, Jesse Robinson and Natalie Jeffers boosted Okaw Valley’s effort with double digit scoring.
During the first quarter Okaw Valley led 14-9. ALAH came up with a 12-6 second quarter to lead the Timberwolves 21-20 at the half.
A 14-13 third quarter sent the Knights into the fourth quarter with a 35-33 edge.
A 22-17 fourth quarter was fueled by Paige and Jesse Robinson for Okaw Valley pushing past the Knights by two points, 55-53.
Paige Robinson led the Timberwolves making five field goals and 9-11 free throws for 19 points.
