Celia Brown

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Celia Marguerite Brown, 96, of Blue Mound was held at 11 a.m. Monday in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Blue Mound. Burial was in Grove City Cemetery in Mt. Auburn. She died Thursday, May 19, 2016.

She was born April 13, 1920 in Springfield, a daughter of Elmer and Grace Baughman Ferre. She owned and operated Marguerite’s Beauty Salon in Blue Mound for more than 40 years and was a member of Blue Mound United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 327 in Blue Mound.
