IGA Round Up Anniversary Approaches
•September 7, 2016•
Round five of the Moutrie County Food Pantry “Round Up” is October 30 through November 5.
Sullivan IGA is teaming up with the C.E.F.S. food pantry for the fifth year, giving people in the community a chance to give a little by rounding up their grocery bill to the next dollar.
The little bit given by everyone during the “Round Up” goes a long way toward helping the Moultrie County Food Pantry feed less fortunate families.
Moultrie County Food Pantry, CEFS community outreach is important when family budgets get tight.
On average the Moultrie County Food Pantry servers 140 boxes of food per month, helping nearly 400 members of the community.
Anyone in need, who lives in Moultrie County, is welcome to visit the pantry every 30 days.
Each food box contains items to help prepare meals for five days.
Boxes are valued at $75 plus families may qualify for two to six pounds of meat, depending on the number in the family. The food pantry distributes 100 pounds of ground beef in one week.
