Poll Locations Change
•January 25, 2017•
County Clerk Georgia England has announced two more polling location changes that will be effective with the April 4 Consolidated Election.
They are Marrowbone 1 and Marrowbone 2 currently located at the American Legion Post #507 which will relocate to the Bethany Firehouse public meeting room. Sullivan 3 currently located at St. Columcille Catholic Church will relocate to the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Sullivan.
Voters will receive a new Voter Registration Card in the mail the week of January 30 showing the new location and address.
Several locations were combined approximately 10 years ago; however, with all the election changes in the past five years, these combined precincts are in need of more space to allow for the election equipment and to accommodate the number of individuals voting.
England stated, “We are very fortunate in Moultrie County to have organizations, churches, village halls, etc. that are so willing to do whatever is necessary to help in the democratic process of elections. It’s been a pleasure working with the locations that have served our county for many, many years, and I am looking forward to working with the three new locations.”
