Sullivan School Supt. Resigns

The recently elected Sullivan District #300 school board faces a superintendent search following the regular meeting May 8.
Superintendent Brad Tuttle’s resignation is effective June 30, 2017. Tuttle has accepted the superintendent’s position at Jerseyville #100 school district, located southwest with an enrollment of 3000 students.
High school guidance counselor Krista Smith, middle school special education teacher Quentin Hanson, HS math teacher Clark Owsley, mentoring coordinator John Bertetto, and bus driver Eddie Miller submitted resignations.
Cami Badman was employed as Mentoring Coordinator. Ronnie Lane was employed as bus driver.
The salary schedule for substitute teachers and teaching assistants was approved.
Kevin Landrum presented a savings report on natural gas usage since new HVAC systems were installed.
Principal reports were presented; meeting adjourned to executive session with President Jeff White, Steve Poland, Norm Wood, Ann Wheeler, Erik Stollard, Tyson Grooms and Zak Horn attending.
