Sullivan Alumni Reunion Set
•July 26, 2017•
There will be plenty of hugs, smiles and storytelling September 23 when Sullivan High School alumni come together for their 48th annual reunion banquet. The Sullivan Alumni Association (SAA) has announced that this reunion banquet for all Sullivan High School alumni will be at the Sullivan VFW starting with a social hour at 4:30 p.m. and a dinner at 5:30. Access will be limited to ticket holders.
A number of exciting developments will be announced this year including a new SAA Facebook page providing many new services including alumni access to Sullivan school activities available 24/7. The page was developed for SAA in cooperation with the Sullivan school system. Hall of Fame and Who’s Who awards for Sullivan alumni will be announced and presented and an excellent catered dinner will be served to attendees. Tours of the old high school (now the middle school) will be available prior.
There also will be special recognition for the Sullivan classes of 1967 (50 years), 1992 (25 Years) and 2007 (10 Years). To help area alumni remember:
In 1967, Sullivan senior class officers were president George Elzy, vice president Barry Freeman and Lucille Johnson secretary-treasurer. Marvin Rice was the superintendent, Norman Buckner was counselor and John Coil was principal.
In 1992 the senior class executive officers were Kristen Grooms and Jim Standerfer. The class president was Dan Gott. Harold Edwards was the superintendent, and Dan Hoefler was the principal.
If any alumni of Sullivan High School did not get an invitation to the reunion banquet in the mail, contact Jeani Taylor at jlhight@Yahoo.com for information and tickets. Since there is limited seating, SAA suggests that those interested act now to be assured tickets.
