Remember When? 4-18-2018
25 Years Ago This Week
The winter storm of the century rocked the southern states. Former Sullivan residents tell of their experiences. Leesa Willis and Charles W. Shuman had more than 10 inches of snow in their area. Willis tells of difficulty getting a flight while Shuman, of Virginia, gets a laugh at his area’s inability to handle the snow. Jon White of Marietta, Ga. says his town is basically shut down.
Sullivan elementary students get books made just for them by volunteers through the RSVP and CEFS Outreach program. They were distributed by Bev Puleo. The books were entitled SEAL (students excited about learning). The text was written by Mary Lou Kidwell and illustrated by Sandi Traxler.
