The Sullivan-Okaw Valley football team dropped its fifth-straight game of the season to Meridian Friday night.
The Hawks scored first on a short run up the middle with 7:43 left first quarter to take an early 7-0 lead.
At the start of the second quarter, SOV began its first scoring drive from deep in its own territory.
A short pass advanced the Redskins to the 16-yard line, and a similar pass to the opposite side of field progressed Sullivan to the 40-yard line.
After a third down run, Sullivan went for it on fourth down with one to go for the first.
