Even though the Lovington Panthers dropped their first match in the Windsor Invitational, it didn’t stop them from winning the whole tournament. The Panthers beat host Windsor 15-8, 15-11 in the championship game. Arthur beat the Panthers 15-10, 2-15, 15-9 in pool play. The Panthers however bounced back with two wins before squaring off against Windsor. Cari Franklin and Ryan Casteel led Lovington with 32 kills each. Rebekah Boddy had 13, and Anna Creviston added nine. Michelle Gromann and Leah Thomas had five kills apiece. Creviston led the Panthers with seven aces, and Megan Mechling had five. Boddy had four aces and three blocks.
The Sullivan Redskins wrapped up a three game road odyssey at Warrensburg-Latham and played their best game of the season so far. Josh Cuttill and Adam Gurchiek each scored twice and the offense lit up the Cardinals for over 300 yards as the Redskins won 42-12 to open up the Okaw Valley Conference that season.
