In 1904, George Foster, Sam Randol, J. M Wood and James Welton of Lovington took a fishing trip to the West Okaw south of Sullivan. In two days they captured an estimated 400 lbs of catfish. On their way back through Sullivan they sold over 200 lbs of fish and more on their way home to Lovington. By the time they arrived they had about 150 lbs left. The largest fish caught weighed over 50 lb. Please submit photos to the News Progress for future consideration. Originals will be saved for return or forwarded to Moultrie County Historical Society.
