The Sullivan City Council approved amending water, sewer and gas rates during their regular meeting on Monday. The amendment of electric rates was discussed but not approved and will be brought back at the next meeting. Under sewer and water rates, Commissioner Chuck Woodworth said that for water and sewer both, it is $2 per month rate increase.
An ordinance regarding gas rates was approved. Mayor Richard Glazebrook said that the increase would be 2.2 cents for each home. There was a significant amount of discussion in regards to an increase in electric rates, however no action was taken.
