The Moultrie County Retired Teachers Association met recently at the First United Methodist Church, Sullivan, IL. President Jane McKown welcomed members and guests before leading the Pledge of Allegiance.
Connie Dunscomb introduced Jim Barr, representing the Illinois Retired Teachers Association. He announced that Addison Graham, Sullivan, and a Special Education major at Illinois State University, was awarded the Area 5 State Scholarship. Connie and Jim spoke highly of Addison and stated that he had received many excellent letters of recommendation. Addison was unable to attend the meeting. President McKown urged members to look at the IRTA Website for information on the Foundation and that a picture and a paragraph of Addison’s education plans have been posted there, along with other area winners.     Login or Subscribe to read the rest of this story.
