The entire Midwest was watching the weather radar last Tuesday as storms swept most of the area. For Sullivan, they were hoping the rain would continue to hold out so they could get their Tri-County track meet in plus honor the seniors of this year. Unfortunately, with the second heat of girls in the blocks for the 400m relay, lightning let loose triggering the 30 minute relay. With continued lightning over the next 30 minutes, officials decided to end the meet.
In field events for the girls, Riane Bear and Kharli Kelly went one, two in high jump. Bear cleared .05m more for the win. Emily Miller also picked up points with her fourth place finish. Lily Moxley vaulted 1.83m for a fifth place finish in pole vault. Eiley Poe jumped 4.50m in long jump earning her third place. Devon Richardson took home second in triple jump with a jump of 9.76m. Kelly finished fourth in the triple jump.
