I’m sure you’ve been anxiously awaiting my thoughts about the Eagle Pond duck dinner that Indian captive William Biggs described in his narrative about his travel through Moultrie County in 1788  I’ve spent some time pondering this. I first shared Bigg’s story with the readers of my “Kaskaskia Reflections” articles for the late Don Lewis’ short-lived Community Record newspaper twenty years ago. I’m still pondering it. It has kept me from worrying about really petty stuff.
