On Friday, September 25th, Heartland Mini Hoofs, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit mini equine therapy visitation program based in Taylorville, visited the Mid-Illinois Senior Center, much to the delight of all. Accompanying them was 2026 Illinois Festival Pre-teen Mela Miller (9). Founder Andra Ebert brought 15-year-old Jasper (chestnut) and 7-year-old Oliver (white), both American Miniature Horses certified by the American Miniature Therapy Horse Association, to share some nuzzles and affection.
