One point could have made all the difference. And it did. For Windsor.
The Lady Blue Devils managed to steal back a victory from Sullivan Monday night after losing the first set 25-23 by going on to win the next two 25-27, 25-20.
“It was all about the mental game tonight,” said Sullivan head coach Krista Smith. “We came out strong and showed our skill set, and then they adjusted to our skill set, and then mentally we just broke.”
Sullivan emerged with Brittin Boyer’s strong middle hitting and blocking, which Windsor struggled with early, although managed to keep the lead until Boyer’s kill tied it at 9-9. Windsor then made adjustments by not only relying more on their outside hitter Autumn Bennett, but also tipping over the 5 foot, 11 inch Boyer.
