Annual Holiday Market Saturday
October 29, 2014
Handcrafted items and one-of-a-kind works of art will be featured at the First Christian Church Annual Holiday Market in Sullivan on Saturday, November 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This year tickets will be sold for a chance to win a cross-stitch floral quilt made by member Ann Hamilton (recently deceased). The Market will feature a bountiful bakery shop with homemade candies, cookies, cakes, pies and bread; and an inspirational Christmas shop. There will be a quilt shop, a crafts shop, a youth group shop offering unique items for sale, and a children’s shop with gently used clothing and toys.
An almost new shop in the church sanctuary will also be selling many treasures that look like new and are functional.
The coffee bar will be open from 9-10:30 a.m. in the church’s Fellowship Hall and feature homemade treats and drinks. Lunch will then be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Carry-outs will be available.
Pick-a-prize drawing tickets will be sold at the door. Prizes may include original artwork, his and her golf getaway for a day, Illini basketball tickets, Little Theatre Christmas show tickets, gift certificates, gift cards and much more. The winners will be drawn at 2 p.m. Proceeds from the drawing will go to Secret Santa and DOVE.
