Shelby County Rural Emergency Addressing Plan progressing; Bethany, Findlay areas to see new address cards by May; Gays and Windsor by June
Shelbyville – The Shelby County Board approved a plan at their June 13, 2012 meeting to bring a Rural Emergency Addressing system to the unincorporated areas of Shelby County. The plan was presented by Emergency Management Coordinator Jared Rowcliffe. Rowcliffe represented the Rural Emergency Addressing Committee that was formed by the board to research the benefits and feasibility of a new system at the January 11 meeting.
