Century of Accreditation for SHS
Recently Sullivan High School was recognized for its 100th year of continuous accreditation. Dr. Lori Hopkins, Director for AdvancED Illinois, came to the high school to present the faculty with the award. This award recognizes Sullivan High School for its commitment to quality and continuous improvement since 1917. In order to maintain the accreditation, Sullivan High School must prepare for and host a rigorous on-site review every five years to ensure they are meeting standards set forth by AdvancED.
While their expertise is grounded in more than a hundred years of work in school accreditation, AdvancED is far from a typical accrediting agency.
