The Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond football team traveled to Arcola for a Lincoln Prairie Conference matchup Friday “Was a tale of two halves,” said ALAH coach Ryan Jefferson. “We played tough and more disciplined in the first half. Our defense forced a fumble, blocked a field goal and had some other key stops.” The Knights had momentum, and late in the second half took the lead. “We were up 10-7 to go with two minutes to go in the half,” Jefferson said, “and then unfortunately gave up a late score in the last few seconds of the half, so we went into halftime down 14-10, which was still manageable.” Login or Subscribe to read the rest of this story.
