Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School held their commencement on the football field the evening of Friday, May 27. The ceremony began with the Star Spangled Banner played by the high school band, a welcome from class president Jace Green and a selection from the musical Hamilton “History Has Its Eyes on You” by senior choral students.
The salutatorian speech was given by Max Allen. He began his speech with a quote from Olympic gold medalist Jesse Owens, “Friendships born on the field of athletic strife are the real gold of competition.
