Alan C. Horn was presented a plaque of appreciation from the local FFA officers for more than 25 years worth of support.
John Ruskin was recognized for his years of service as a 60 year member of the Sullivan Lions Club.
The ALAH Lady Knights put forth a strong performance to defeat the Shelbyville Lady Rams by 13 points, pushing their record to 3-1. Mycaela Miller led the team with 18 points while Kim Davis added 15.

Friday, December 6th was the date marked for the Christmas Parade and other festive events on the square by the Sullivan Chamber just last Tuesday, November 19th. Line-up for the parade starts at five in the Sullivan High School parking lot with the parade starting just an hour later, following the traditional parade route. Before the parade will be events by the pavilion on the square starting at four.

Turkey donation to Moultrie County CEFS Outreach

Just as many years before, the delivery started at nine with the truck arriving in front of the Sullivan Bakery, just next door. The men posing with the festive bird were in charge of getting the turkeys to the CEFS building just in time for distribution for Thanksgiving.

Mark and Judi Seeley of Bethany gave the neighborhood a surprise just after the summer had officially started to dwindle, opening their very own homemade, handmade pizza’s. Mark Seeley, Sullivan native and Class of ‘79 graduate, started his deep dive into cooking upon buying his first smoker.
“It all started with this, smoked pulled pork and some other things, and then I got this barrel and made my own smoker out of the barrel” Mark explained while touring his house-side kitchen with the oven and smokers. “The barrel smoker was hand made and the oven was too.”

The Sullivan American Legion will be hosting a Santa picture Bingo on Saturday, December 7th from 8-11am at the Legion, 8 E Strain Street. Featuring a bake sale and a large breakfast of AYCE pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, donuts and fruit with choice of drinks being orange juice, milk and chocolate milk. Entry fees for guests 12 and up will be $8 and children under 12 have an entry fee of $5 with Bingo games only being $.25 cents per game. Christmas movie night

Windsor NHS is hosting a Christmas Movie Night on Sunday, December 15th at three. All ages are welcome to bring a blanket and pillow and join others to watch a Christmas movie in the Windsor Jr/Sr High School new gym. Entry fee is $3, included is free parking and free popcorn.
