GriefShare sponsored by First Christian Church, Sullivan, will be held at the church Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. through May 31.
Each session includes a time to share thoughts about the previous week’s learning, new material delivered via an approximately 40-minute video, and a discussion of the main ideas in the video. Some topics discussed by both grief experts and former GriefShare attendees (on the videos) are: Is This Normal? Challenges of Grief, The Journey of Grief, Why?, Stuck, and the Lessons of Grief. Girls’ Basketball All Conference

The 2021-22 Central Illinois Conference has announced those named to girls’ basketball all conference. Alaina Moore was named to second team and Izabelle Hay was named honorable mention. Both girls are from Sullivan.

Windsor Students of the Month
Windsor Jr./Sr. High School recently announced their February Students of the Month Caden Musgraves and Seth Rincker.
Caden is the son of Darrin and Tanaya Musgraves. He is currently a freshman and is in Scholastic Bowl and FFA. He plans to one day become a surgeon.
Seth is the son of Mike and Laurie Rincker. He is currently an 8th grade student. He is involved in Basketball, FFA, and Scholastic Bowl.

LLC Announces Fall Semester Honors List

Lake Land College recently announced that more than 500 part-time students earned academic honors for the 2021 Fall semester.
To qualify for the president’s list, a student must have completed six to 11 credit hours in courses numbered 040 or higher per semester, excluding summer term, with a GPA of 3.8 – 4.0.
To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have completed six to 11 credit hours in courses numbered 040 or higher per semester, excluding summer term, with a GPA of 3.65 – 3.79.
To qualify for the honor’s list, a student must have completed six to 11 hours in courses numbered 040 or higher per semester, excluding summer term, with a GPA of 3.5 – 3.64. Read More

SHS Scholastic Bowl Competes at State

Congratulations to the SHS Scholastic Bowl team for qualifying and competing in the IHSA State Scholastic Bowl Meet this past Friday. The team won the IHSA Class 1A Sectional tournament in Robinson on Saturday March 12th defeating Webber 310-190, Robinson 270-150, and Cumberland 270-250. The championship against Cumberland went to double overtime. Lara Herschberger and Paul Bates came through by answering the tossups to give us the upper hand in the end. We were led by Paul Bates with 13 tossups on the day. Clayton Schmohe had 12, Lara Herschberger had 5, Aaron Stutzman had 3, Brent Helmuth 1, and Lilly Graham 1.

Easter Donation

The Kirby Foods meat department delivered hams to the Moultrie County Food Pantry on Wednesday the 16th, thanks to a generous anonymous donation. The hams will provide a nice Easter dinner.
