Sullivan Blue Dolphins Regional Championship Meet
The weekend of February 25 through 27, twelve members of the Sullivan Blue Dolphin swim team competed in Peoria at the Regional Winter Championship meet. To attend the meet, you must make the cuts in the events you are swimming. With Illinois having some of the toughest time standards to make, Head Coach Jason Drury was proud of the team’s representation. The Dolphins had twelve swimmers entered in 75 events of those events 68 times the Dolphins hit the podium for awards. Drury said that speaks volumes to the hard work the swimmers are putting in to achieve their times and goals. •March 9, 2022•

The City of Sullivan will begin its quarterly cleanup of the Greenhill Cemetery on Monday, March 14, 2022. Residents with surface flowers, wreaths, grave blankets or any other ground surface decorations should remove them by March 13 if they wish to keep them. The cemetery personnel will not pick up any flowers in vases or on the monument unless deteriorated. The cemetery does not have a facility to store unclaimed decorations, so if you wish to keep your items, pick them up by this date. Allow at least one week before replacing ANY items due to the excessive amount of items on various graves. All decorations, flowers and benches must be placed in monument row. No items are allowed to be placed in the middle, foot, bordering or elsewhere on the grave site. Items that are not placed by the rules and regulations will be removed. Questions or concerns call Greenhill Cemetery at 217-728-8043.
