The letter explained the hard work and dedication that all of the district’s staff put in at the start of the pandemic, especially on such short notice. Board members listened to the association’s response and thanked them for coming forward to share. With 21 players on the roster, Sullivan boys’ golf team looks to be reloading this season after finishing strong at the state golf meet the last two years.
The added benefit of rescheduling football from fall to spring is that the golf team picked up three players (Karin Elder, Ian Plank and Matt Welch) for this season.
The Sullivan boys’ golf team has not lost a dual meet since Sept. 20, 2017 and that one-stroke loss (174-175) was to a much larger Class 2A Effingham team.
Last season, the Redskins finished fifth with a score of 337 in the Class 1A state golf meet at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington. The team placed 11th in state in 2018. Read More
