Blood Drive Hosted By Sullivan Legion
•May 8, 2019•
The American Red Cross and The Sullivan Legion will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday May 14th from 12 noon to 6:00 pm at the Sullivan Legion Post 68.
Donating blood is especially important. All Blood Types are needed. In America, every 2.5 seconds someone needs blood to sustain life. Every unit collected can help up to 3 patients survive.
Any healthy individual, ages 16 and older, who meets weight requirements may donate blood. Donors should eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before coming to donate. Donors must have a valid photo ID. Donors can save up to 15 minutes at the drive by using Rapid Pass the day of the drive. Visit redcrossblood.org/RapidPass to complete before the drive.
To make an appointment, please call drive coordinator Jeri Davis at 273-9456. Donors can also make an appointment online by visiting redcrossblood.org Walk ins are welcome, but having an appointment, decreases donor wait time and ensure adequate red cross staffing.
