Scarlett D. McKinzie, 36, Mattoon returns to Moultrie County Circuit Court August 22 after waiving her right to a jury trial on July 13.

McKinzie appeared in Moultrie County with public defender Marvin Hanson last Thursday. This allows the case to move toward a bench trial for felony charges filed by State’s Attorney Jeremy Richey in connection with the Feb 10, 2017 accident involving the Teutopolis school bus at the Hwy. 32 and Bruce-Findlay Road intersection.

The court appearance was related to felony aggravated driving under the influence charges. McKinzie posted $10,000 bond.
