Easter Egg hunting comes to Sullivan at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 16 in Wyman Park.
Sponsored by the Sullivan Fire District, the hunt is divided into six age groups.
Group division is: 0-1; 2-3; 4-5; 6-7;8-9; and 10-11 years.
Enjoy the fun and prizes courtesy Sullivan Fire District.

Graham Veterinary Clinic will sponsor their annual rabies clinic at the Lovington Fire Department from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 6. Vaccinations include those for rabies, bordetella, feline leukemia, and other viruses. There is a fee for the vaccinations. At the clinic, pet owners also have the opportunity to purchase county tags which are required for dogs.

The Moultrie Co Retired Teachers met April 5 in Sullivan United Methodist Church.
Stepheny McMahon spoke to the group about 100 Women Who Care. Brunch and a business meeting followed the presentation.

The Lovington Sons of the American Legion is hosting a golf outing at Timberlake Golf Course Saturday, June 24.
Shotgun start is 8 a.m. Four man scramble is $40 per player with sign up sheet at the American Legion Post 429.
Food is provided by the women’s auxiliary.

The Petersen Health Care Easter Carnival and Egg Hunt is Saturday, April 15 at Sullivan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center located at 11 Hawthorne Lane.
Events begin at 11 a.m. and run through 1 p.m. The Easter egg hunt begins at 1 p.m. sharp.
Also offered is a petting zoo, inflatables, games, pony rides, food and much more.
Everyone is welcome to this free event and should bring lawn chairs.
The event is hosted by Eastview Terrace, Mason Point, Courtyard Estates and Sullivan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Reenactment of the Last Supper will occur at the First United Methodist Church on Maundy Thursday, 13 April beginning at 7 pm
A cast of 13 men from the congregation play the roles of Jesus and his 12 disciples including Judas Iscariot, who later betrayed him following this Passover Meal in the Upper Room.
Easter Sunday, April 16 services are at 9 and 10:30 a.m.

Holy Week Service at Faith Lutheran Church in Sullivan begins with Saturday service at 5 p.m. April 8.
Palm Sunday Service is 10 a.m. April 9 with dinner at 11 a.m. Maundy Thursday, April 13 supper is 5:30 p.m. and worship service 6:30 p.m.
Good Friday Tenebrae service is 6:30 p.m. April 14. Saturday service is 5 p.m. April 15.
Easter Sunday Service is 10 a.m. April 16.

Commissioner Bill Hagen sat in on his final city council meeting Monday, March 27.
As he approached his impending retirement, he stated, “I feel good about the improvements and progress of the water and sewer department. I have respect for the people I have worked with and the support that was offered.”
Washington Plaza will be in place once again this summer during theater season; although it will not be blocking any road lanes as it did last year. This year Washington Plaza will take up only the nearby sidewalk and parking places adjacent to The Little Theatre. Washington Plaza will offer an extra seating area for theater patrons before and after shows.
Other items that were discussed or voted upon:
-Bids were accepted for the electrical line upgrade project for spring. Anixter won the bid with materials costing a total of $34,906.84.
-The annual MFT program was awarded to Earl Walker Construction, the only bidder, for his bid of $103,958.40.
-A zoning ordinance was passed that allowed mobile home parks to sell new or used trailers within the mobile home park.
-A gas sales agreement ordinance was passed that extends the city’s contract with the IPEA to run through 2024 so that the city is able to negotiate longer term pricing and deliver stable low-priced gas.

The Findlay American Legion Auxiliary will host an American Red Cross blood drive 2-6 p.m. Monday April 10 in the Findlay American Legion Post Home in downtown Findlay.
Blood is in constant demand, and all types are needed. Refreshments will be served.

Take Charge of Your Diabetes.
The diabetes self-management program is coming to the Mid-Illinois Senior Center 1-3:30 p.m. Fridays, April 21-May 26. Cheri Burcham of the University of Illinois Extension and Penny Arthur of the Moultrie County Counseling Center will be the instructors for the program.
The participants will learn tools such as healthy eating, stress management, exercise (flexibility and endurance), monitoring blood sugar, medication management, working with their doctor and problem solving around their health condition.
The cost for those who complete the program will be covered by a generous grant from the Administration for Community Living.
