This is an incredible photo of history being made in our county. The year was 1918. The Chicago & Central IL rail road had just completed the new concrete trestle that spanned the Okaw south of Kirksville. It had been built to replace the iron bridge seen behind it. The iron bridge had been built in 1892. Please submit photos to the News Progress for future consideration. Originals will be saved for return or forwarded to Moultrie County Historical Society.
