Todd Harris added some information: “In reference to where this took place- In Agri-Fab where the Washer System is for the Dip Paint Line. In 1904, George Foster, Sam Randol, J. M Wood and James Welton of Lovington took a fishing trip to the West Okaw south of Sullivan. In two days they captured an estimated 400 lbs of catfish. On their way back through Sullivan they sold over 200 lbs of fish and more on their way home to Lovington. By the time they arrived they had about 150 lbs left. Earl Devore was a life long resident of Lovington. His wrapping of his home on Buck and Broadway was an annual event. When done, it looked like a home wrapped in Saran wrap. The home is long gone now. This photo appeared in the November 1977 issue of the Lovington Reporter. Please submit photos to the News Progress for future consideration. Nelson Swinford opened his new gas station on S. Hamilton Street in Sullivan in 1950. It was located where the parking lot is now for the Habitat Restore. The Kirby Foods meat department delivered hams to the Moultrie County Food Pantry on Wednesday the 16th, thanks to a generous anonymous donation. The hams will provide a nice Easter dinner.
