Arthur’s Annual Rat Race to Benefit Students of New School District

It’s Back.
The Arthur Cheese Festival’s Rat Race 5K & 10K runs are taking place on Labor Day Monday, September 1 and as in the past, proceeds from this annual race organized by the Arthur Woman’s Club will be used to fund educational scholarships to graduating high school seniors.
But starting this year, that means seniors in the newly formed high school district, Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond, will all benefit from this race and may apply for scholarships in the spring. Read More
ALAH FFA Alumni Chapter Holds Annual Meeting

The Arthur-Lovington / Atwood-Hammond FFA Alumni Chapter held their annual meeting August 5 at the Harris Agricultural Museum in Atwood. Since forming July 30, 2013, the ALAH FFA Alumni Chapter added 25 new members with 13 of those joining as life members. The chapter has had a busy first year creating awareness for the FFA and Ag Ed program in the school district. The chapter plans to serve pork chops for the upcoming Homecoming festivities and CIBR – BBQ Festival and will host a trap shoot later in the year. Read More
