Perfect Attendance K-5
Peyton Pool (center) was recognized at Sullivan Elementary School’s final day assembly on May 29 for having perfect attendance from kindergarten through fifth grade. With 176 days in a school year, Pool attended all 1,056. He received several gifts for his perfect feat and is seen above with his mother Keri (left) and father Darrin (right).

Greuel Receives Thesis Award
Sheila Greuel, Master of Arts in Gerontology at Eastern Illinois University, was the recipient of the 2014 Thesis Award of Excellence for the Lumpkin College of Business and Applied Sciences. One thesis from each of the four academic colleges is chosen as the outstanding thesis for that college. Greuel’s thesis was entitled The Impact of an Immersion in Long Term Care Course on Gerontology Graduate Students. Recipients of the College Thesis Awards were recognized during Graduate Exposition week in April, sponsored by the Graduate Student Advisory Council, The Council on Graduate Studies and The Graduate School. Greuel is originally from Sullivan.
