Tyson Gabriel Javier Mendoza, age 5, of Gays passed away at 4:01 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2019.
Funeral services honoring his life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday.
Tyson’s family welcomes anyone attending to wear his favorite color blue in honor of Tyson.
Tyson was born on December 19, 2013 in Mattoon the son of Ciara Jean Bowers and Marcos Antonio Mendoza.

Sherry A. Gregory, 86, while in her sleep went peacefully to meet her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, September 17, 2019 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Sherry’s wishes were for each person to remember her in their own special way. Memorial graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Keller Cemetery, Lovington, with Pastor Rodney Houser officiating. Memorials may be made to the First Church of God, Lovington, or to the Lovington Volunteer Ambulance Service. McMullin-Young Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements. Read More

Nancy Caroline Davis, 80, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 28th, 2019.
She was born February 18th, 1939 and was the youngest daughter of Boyd and Gladys Whitchurch. Shortly after graduating from Sullivan High School in 1957, Nancy married the “love of her life” Bob Davis and spent the next 30 years traveling to different Air Force assignments with him. Read More
