Wilma Alexander, 83, of Sullivan passed away at 10:38 p.m. Saturday February 2, 2019 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan is in charge of arrangements.
Wilma was born October 2, 1935 in Coles Station, a daughter of William and Edith Welbaum Rowland. Wilma married Frank Alexander in 1957 in El Paso, Texas, and he preceded her in death November 19, 2004. Read More

Gene Montgomery, age 84, of Charleston passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Saturday, February 9, 2019 in his home surrounded by his loving family. The funeral service honoring and celebrating his life began at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, February 13) at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Ill. with Pastor Ray Finney officiating. Burial followed in Mound Cemetery in Charleston. It is requested that donations in his honor be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105. Ronnie Golden Greeson, 68, of Toledo, Ill., beloved brother of Suzanne Greeson Cummings, passed away on February 2, 2019 at Eastview Terrace in Sullivan.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 7 at Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to service time on Thursday in the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Toledo Cemetery.
Ronnie was born July 7, 1950 in Mattoon to Golden and Mary Todd Greeson. He is survived by a sister Suzanne (Ron) Cummings of Moweaqua. He was preceded in death by his parents. Read More

Nina Tabor Martin, 72, of Sullivan, passed away at 5:02 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. A visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, February 1 at McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan. A private graveside service will be held in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan with her family. Public memorial services will be announced at a later date in both Sullivan and the Chicago area.
Nina was born January 10, 1947 in Decatur, a daughter of Purvis Francis and Roberta Morris Tabor. She married Philip H. Martin July 10, 1971 in Decatur. Read More

The Moultrie-Douglas County Fair Pageant will be held Monday, July 27th at 6:00 p.m. for Little Miss Fair Queen and 7:00 p.m. for Miss and Junior Miss Fair Queen located at the south track on the Mo-Do Fairgrounds. Vying for the title of Miss Moultrie Douglas Fair Queen are: Abigail Meyer of Tuscola, Addee Mulligan of Arcola, Sarah Rogers of Atwood, Ava Whitson of Tuscola, Addisyn Wilson of Villa Grove, Emma Spillman of Tuscola, Aymara Leal of Arcola and Katilyn Kirby of Sullivan.
