Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 26 in Shrader Funeral Home in Arthur with Pastor Francis Farney officiating. Burial followed in Arthur Cemetery.   Read More

Donald Eugene Jack, 71, of Minooka and formerly of Decatur and Sullivan, died Tuesday, September 12 after complications from surgery with family by his side. He was born March 15, 1946 in Mattoon to Vernon Eugene Jack and Evelyn Madge McElravy. He married Janice F. Mintel June 12, 1976. He was preceded in death by his father and sisters, Rita and Patricia. He is survived by his wife; daughter Anastasia Cepeda of Oswego; mother of Sullivan; brother Ronald (Sharon) of Sullivan; grandsons Alec, Austin, and Aidan Cepeda of Oswego; brother-in-law Ralph Mintel of Seattle, Wash.; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncle, former foreign exchange student son Marc Stadtlander of Munich, Germany and cherished friends and colleagues. Spring concert

On Tuesday, April 28th, under the direction of Dr. Ian Kinkley, Band Director, the Sullivan Band Program presented its symphonious Spring Band concert, titled “Evening Escapes,” which showcased the magnificent and diverse talents of the Sullivan 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands, combined with the Sullivan High School Band and Jazz Band.
