He died at 9:07 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Mason Point in Sullivan surrounded by his family.

Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan with visitation 5-7 p.m. today (Wednesday). Burial with military rites by Sullivan American Legion Post #68 will be in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan.
