Virginia L. Cockrum, 83, of Arthur, formerly of Lovington, passed away at 9:40 a.m. Sunday April 20, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Lovington. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Girard Cemetery in Girard.

Elizabeth Lois “Betty” Glasscock, 87, of Gays, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Friday April 18, 2014 in Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Smyser Christian Church near Gays with Pastor Richard Coen officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of the service today (Wednesday) in the church. Private family graveside services will be held Saturday April 26.

A celebration of life for Emmett Anthony Gale, 86, of Woodstock was held April 6 in Palatine. Emmett donated his body to medical research.

Howard V. Haney, 67, formerly of Windsor, died Dec. 22, 2013 in his residence in Missoula, Mont.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday May 1 in Keller Cemetery in rural Lovington with his brother Dr. Thomas N. Haney officiating and military rites by Windsor American Legion.

Betty Jean Cherry, 86, of LeRoy, formerly of Bellflower and Sullivan, passed away at 1:05 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 in LeRoy Manor.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home in LeRoy with the Rev. Jim Boswell officiating. Burial will be in Bellflower Township Cemetery in Bellflower. Visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Celebration of Life services for Troy E. Reed, 66, of Bruce were held at 11 a.m. Friday in Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Gene Godfrey officiating. Burial with military rites conducted by Sullivan American Legion Post #68 was in French Cemetery in Allenville.
He passed away at 10 p.m. Monday April 7, 2014 in his residence surrounded by his family.
Larry McGlade
Larry L. McGlade, 79, of Decatur died April 9, 2014 in Decatur memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 26, 1934 in Decatur, a son of Chester and Velma Leibongood McGlade. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator in steel fabrication and served in the U.S. Army.
