Floyd Buckalew

Floyd E. Buckalew, of Sullivan, passed away on January 30, 2025, in the Arthur Home, at the age of 98. He rejoined many of his family, friends and fellow servicemen of the United States Army 40th Infantry Division and the 11th Airborne Division. One more member of the “greatest Generation” has heard the call.

Joseph Scott “Joe” Bicknell, 91, of Lovington, passed away at 6:57 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Memorial Healthcare, Springfield.

Paul “Short” Craig, 100, of Sullivan, passed away 7:55 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Heritage Woods of Sullivan.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home in Sullivan. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials may be made to the Lovington Church of God.

Michael Ray Powell, 77, of Lovington, Illinois died Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Springfield Memorial Hospital with his wife and two sons by his bedside.
