Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday March 26, at St. Columcille Catholic Church in Sullivan. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday at Reed Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 4:30 p.m. Friday. Rite of Committal and Burial will be in Camfield Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Sullivan American Legion Post #68. Memorials are suggested to Sullivan Weekend Food Bag Program. Joyce “Elaine” Holloway, 76, of Monticello, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and three children on March 12 at 7:15 pm. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at Mackey-Wright funeral home in Monticello March 17 followed by a celebration of Elaine’s life starting at noon officiated by Pastor Jeff Bealmear. Graveside services will be at Marrowbone Township Cemetery in Bethany at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association. Read More

New royalty to be crowned
The Moultrie-Douglas County Fair Pageant will be held Monday, July 27th at 6:00 p.m. for Little Miss Fair Queen and 7:00 p.m. for Miss and Junior Miss Fair Queen located at the south track on the Mo-Do Fairgrounds. Vying for the title of Miss Moultrie Douglas Fair Queen are: Abigail Meyer of Tuscola, Addee Mulligan of Arcola, Sarah Rogers of Atwood, Ava Whitson of Tuscola, Addisyn Wilson of Villa Grove, Emma Spillman of Tuscola, Aymara Leal of Arcola and Katilyn Kirby of Sullivan.
