The aroma of the Robinson gym was insane. Everyone was on their feet: parents, students, coaches. I couldn’t hear myself think, but that was a good thing. I didn’t need to think of much, all we had to do was play our game and we had it in the bag. The Lady Redskins couldn’t handle nerves at the sectional championship. Confidence is key. If we win this game, we advance to state. The elite eight. Today was Wednesday, December 8th and that night we could not accept failure.
The clock had run to one minute, it was game time. We ripped off our warmups and ran to the huddle. I was matched up on number fourteen. I eyed her with a glance.
