The Okaw Valley boys’ basketball team lost 69-60 to Central A&M in the semifinals of the IHSA Class 1A regional tournament in Findlay last Wednesday.

The Raiders took an early 11-2 lead in the first quarter and maintained a 4-to-9 point cushion for most of the game.

The Timberwolves made several runs at CAM, including a 10-0 third-quarter run that cut the lead to one, 39-38, with 4:32 left, but Okaw Valley could not get over the hump.

“Wednesday was a hard fought battle,” said Okaw Valley coach Brooks Inman. “Our kids fell behind early but continually battled back. Every time we needed to get a stop on defense, A&M would hit a big shot.”

Three seniors played their last high school basketball game Wednesday: Taylor Coleman, Ty Nichols and Connor Cloyd. Read More
