Boys
The Sullivan boys’ cross county team competed in the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartan Classic Saturday, Sept. 25.
The Redskins placed 21st out of 23 teams.
For Sullivan, Cody Browne placed 98th with a time of 18:42.62, and Clayton Schmohe finished in 106th place at 19:04.09.
Davis Diepholz ran a 19:24.60 for 118th place, and Rhett Lehman ran a 20:24.84 for 140th place.
Carter Addison rounded out the Redskins times at 21:19.08 for 151st place.
The Sullivan Cross County team competed at Shelbyville Tuesday, Sept. 21.
Team scores were not available.
Individual times included Dakota Freese at 19:25.5,Cody Browne at 19:35.2, Clayton Schmohe at 19:36.8,Davis Diepholz at 20:12.0, Lane Richardson at 20:15.4, Rhett Lehman at 21:09.4, Ryan Villalobos at 21:23.8 Luke Waelde at 25:52.5 and Aston Johnson at 28:58.4. Read More

Girls
The Okaw Valley girls’ golf team won the Lincoln Prairie Conference tournament championship with a score of 423 at Arcola Saturday.
All six Timberwolves finished in the top eight spots to earn all-conference honors.
Blue Ridge took second place with at 478, and Villa Grove placed third with at 573.
Malorie Wons led the Timberwolves with a score of 99 for second place.
Bailey Bennett and Rissa Montgomery each shot a 107 for second and third place.
Karlie Stauder carded 110 for sixth place, and Reagan Reedy shot a 112 for seventh.
Kylie Stauder rounded out the scored with a 121.
The Timberwolves are set to enter IHSA Regional action this week.

Boys
The Okaw Valley boys’ golf team took second in the Lincoln Prairie Conference tournament with a score of 382 at Arcola Saturday.

The Okaw Valley boys’ golf team won the Shelby County Invite with a team score of 401 Friday, Sept. 10.
Central A&M placed second with 410 points, and the host Rams finished third with 441 points. WWS placed fourth with 455 points.
Miles Harlin tied for first and finished second overall after the playoff. He shot an 85.
Tyson Montgomery finished third overall with a 90, and Seth Webner carded a 111.
Dylan Miller finished with a score of 115, and Chase Creviston followed at 119.
Aiden Williams rounded out the score with 120.
Sept. 7, the boys’ golf team took second with a team score of 205 in a triangular between winner St. Anthony and Shelbyville. Read More

The Redskins golf team defeated Shelbyville, Okaw Valley, and Meridian with a low score of 175 during Senior Night at the Sullivan Country Club Thursday, Sept. 9.
Cam Dwyer shot a 40, and JJ Standerfer carded a 45
Bryce Boyle finished at 48, and Ben Bushue followed one stroke behind with a 49.
Wes Standerfer shot a 61, and Josh Stutzman rounded out the Redskins’ scores with a 73.
The day before, Sullivan fell to Maroa-Forsyth 173-181 in a dual meet at Sullivan Country Club.
Brett Bushue, Standerfer and Ben Bushue each shot a 45, and Camden Dwyer followed one stroke behind.
Will Haegen carded a 49.
The Redskins are scheduled to enter a triangular meet hosted by Okaw Valley at the Eagle Creek Golf Course, Sept. 17. Read More

The Okaw Valley boys’ golf team continued their strong season by defeating Shelbyville and Windsor Stewardson-Strasburg in dual matches last week.
The Timberwolves scored a 201-221 victory against Shelbyville Aug. 31.
Miles Harlin shot a 46 to lead Okaw Valley.
Tyson Montgomery and Trey Hall each shot a 48, and Rase Bennett carded a 65.
Chase Creviston and Aiden Williams round out the scoring with a 62 and 59, in that order. Read More

Sullivan/Okaw Valley dropped its second game of the year with a 50-6 loss to Newton at Newton Friday.
Sullivan scored its touchdown on a pass play in the second quarter.
Newton took a 30-point lead into halftime.
For SOV, Kyle Corkill was 8-for-12 passing for 104 yards, including the touchdown pass, and he rushed for 31 yards.
Will Dawkins finish with 32-yards receiving on two catches.
Ryan Villalobos caught one pass for 64 yards, and Trey McRill totaled 38 yards rushing.

The Redskins football team could not find its first win in more than four years against Nokomis at Victory Field Friday night.
Out of the two Redskins, Nokomis came out on top 54-0. Nokomis lead 33-0 at halftime.
SOV quarterback Kyle Corkill completed 7-of-12 passes for 40 yards. He also led the team in rushing with 23 yards.
Sullivan is scheduled to travel to Newton in a non-conference game Friday night. Read More

Sullivan High School hosted its Fall Sports Preview Night Aug. 20 at Victory Field
The football team scrimmaged and then team members were introduced.
