The Moultrie County Historical and Genealogical Society will hold their monthly general meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 in the Heritage Center in Sullivan.

The topic of the evening will be Camp Butler and Camp Douglas of Illinois during the Civil War. Joe Pound will bring the history of both camps and open up what most of us do not know about these camps, especially Camp Douglas.

The public is always invited to the general meetings, and refreshments will be served during the social hour following the program.
