Electric Cooperatives Present Sen. Rose with Public Service Award

At the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives’ annual meeting, held Thursday, July 27 in Springfield, State Senator Chapin Rose, R-51st District, received the 2017 Illinois Electric Cooperatives’ Public Service Award.
The award was made in recognition of Sen. Rose’s dedicated public service to all citizens of the state of Illinois and for outstanding contributions to the rural electrification program.
Senator Rose has served in the legislature since 2003, beginning with 10 years in the Illinois House, then being elected to the Illinois Senate in 2013. He serves as Assistant Republican Leader and a member of the Senate Appropriations I, Appropriations II, Financial Institutions; Higher Education; and Insurance committees. Senator Rose was raised in central Illinois and is a graduate of the University of Illinois Law School. He and his wife Camille have four children and reside in Mahomet.
