Finishing the journey: Dove’s annual findings

Dove, an organization which gathers advocates, religious institutes and volunteers to address unmet social injustices, focusing on domestic violence, homelessness and through community and support empowerment to take the next step. Dove works to see equality, justice and understanding amongst all people. Each year the group faces challenges surrounding their communities and efforts to assist those in need. Leading their findings was a special thanks to Moultrie County and other neighboring counties for the support of helping a hungry child, a high school student without electricity, a widow choosing between her home and her medication and a single father needing car repairs and new school shoes. Dove’s biggest and proudest achievement, bring Christmas to over 3,300 children, pushed them even further to create lasting results and meaningful assistance to needing communities. The reflection letter was finished with a sign-off from Dove Inc. CEO Darsonya Switzer, immediately followed by the funding sources. Dove’s programs and funding for them has always been a large ordeal, needing to get the proper meetings and paperwork to file for grants can be tricky, however Dove was persistent gaining 80% of the organization’s income coming from grants, an overwhelming $3,924,960. Congregation Giving, $123,050, Families and Individuals, $141,800, Corporations Giving, $164,282, Admin fees and rent, $520,674 and Civil groups and events, $33,550.
