Ten top three finishes helped Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond’s boys’ track and field team to a third place finish in the 10-team Redskin Invitational last Tuesday.
And most of that came from the Yeakleys, Brewers, Roses, and Halls.
Almost sounds poetic.
Seniors Tanner Brewer and Colton Yeakley had solid performances with the former earning second in the 110m hurdles (16.74)–a one-hundreth of a second off from first–and third in the 300m hurdles (43.90). Brewer would also finish fifth in the high jump (5-10). Yeakley, too, earned a two and three spot, taking third in the shot put with a throw of 49 feet 1 1/2 inches, and second in the discus, going 152-5. Senior Nathan Rose notched three top four finishes, taking third in the high jump (6-0), fourth in the long jump (18-8 1/2), and second in the triple jump (38-8 3/4).
